Senior Tax Manager

We are looking for a senior-level tax manager for our growing practice. We service large and small closely-held businesses, non-profit organizations, and other various industries by performing corporate, Sub-S, multi-state, estate, gift, individual, and non-profit tax returns complementing our audit practices.

The Senior-Level Tax Manager Is Responsible for the Essential Job Functions:

  • Posses a minimum of 10 years recent public accounting experience.
  • Experience in the preparation/ review of corporate, Sub-S, partnership, multi-state, trust, estate, gift, individual and non-profit tax returns
  • Possess tax planning and research experience
  • Be a resource to clients and audit staff
  • Develop tax strategies and policies that help the client or business maintain compliance with laws and regulations
  • Monitoring developments in tax legislation
  • Informing management and staff of developments in tax legislation
  • Supervising members of the tax team to ensure that tax returns are completed correctly
  • Building and maintain relationships with clients

Senior Tax Manager Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting and Masters of Science in Taxation.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.
  • The ability to work with different taxation software.
  • Extensive knowledge of tax legislation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Sound problem-solving skills.

Current Benefits Available to Full-Time Professional Employees Include:

  • A health insurance plan presently provided by Blue Cross Blue Shield.  More information about health coverage can be obtained from the plan administrator.  The plan is contributory.  Eligible at date of hire with a minimum of 20 work hours per week.
  • Group long-term/short-term disability insurance. Eligible at date of hire.
  • Group life insurance provided by AICPA after six months of continuous service.  It provides term life insurance at the current rate of two times your salary up to 100k.  The Firm pays 100% of the cost.
  • Twenty-two vacation days, three sick days and three personal days per year are accrued along with Firm paid holidays.  This will be prorated for the first year of employment beginning at the date of full-time employment.
  • A 401(k) plan. Eligible for participation after six months of employment.
  • A profit-sharing plan. Eligible for participation after employment of one year and 1,000 hours of work annually.
  • Forty hours of continuing professional education each year.

Senior Auditor

We are looking for Senior Auditors to join our professional staff. We service large and small closely-held businesses, non-profit organizations, employee benefit plans and various other entities by performing audits, reviews or compilations, tax/business advice or preparing their financial statements and tax returns.

Senior Auditors Are Responsible for the Following Essential Job Functions: 

  • Supervising and performing audit, review or compilation procedures which include documenting work and preparing clear and concise workpapers using various computer applications 
  • Supervising and preparing financial statements 
  • Supervising and preparing state and federal income tax returns for corporations, partnerships, employee benefit plans, non-profits and individuals 
  • Being proactive in accomplishing tasks in a timely fashion 
  • Engaging in constant professional development, staying current on the latest assurance and tax pronouncements 

Qualifications: 

  • 2 to 5 years of public accounting experience 
  • CPA track candidate or CPA (preferred) 
  • Must be a self-starter, highly motivated, with excellent interpersonal skills 
  • Strong organizational and problem solving skills 
  • Exhibit initiative with respect to career development 
  • Flexibility, accountability and dependability 
  • Must be a true team player and able to effectively communicate and collaborate with team members at all levels 
  • Ability to work on multiple client projects simultaneously 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Accountant - Para Professional

Under the supervision of different professionals, Accountants perform a variety of basic bookkeeping and accounting tasks utilizing client records.

Accountants – Para Professionals Are Responsible for the Following Essential Job Functions:

Technical

  • Basic Bookkeeping – computerized and manual systems
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Knowledge of Quickbooks

Additional Abilities

  • Demonstrate ability to prepare basic financial statements
  • Demonstrate ability to prepare basic state and federal income tax returns
  • Preparation of workpapers using various computer applications
  • Analytical Ability and Judgement
  • Can organize familiar material and concepts into basic elements

Co-Op/Intern

We offer an excellent opportunity for co-op students to work as fully functioning members of our accounting staff. You would be working directly with the tax and/or audit and small business departments, with exposure to some or all of the following: 

  • Auditing balance sheets and income statement accounts 
  • Preparing basic financial statements 
  • Preparing workpapers, miscellaneous accounting and bookkeeping duties 
  • Preparing federal and state tax returns for corporations, partnerships, LLCs, individuals, estates and trusts 

In addition, management may require the student to perform other duties or get involved in specific projects. 

You should bring with you a basic knowledge of accounting/bookkeeping skills and a willingness to learn.
